We are owned by Ryan VanderMeer and Pat Coffin, who handle much of day-to-day the operations of the company. They are assisted by Bethany Reed, Tom Droste and a number of other support staff to ensure that all properties are being managed effectively. Each of these owners and employees lives in the City of Grand Rapids and takes pride in the past, present and future of our “big little town.”

Ryan VanderMeer holds a Masters of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University. His focus during graduate studies was sustainable business. His undergraduate degrees are in Finance and Accounting. Ryan graduated with honors and can speak darn-near-fluent Spanish. Ryan’s role with our company is to manage all accounting functions, as well as business development. He also spends a lot of time working with other community organizations such as ArtPeers, Grand Rapids Weed & Seed and the Wealthy Street Business Alliance.

Pat Coffin graduated from East Kentwood High School and holds a Real Estate Broker’s License from the State of Michigan, as required by law by all property managers. He does the majority of our leasing, and currently oversees the maintenance function as well. This includes monitoring our maintenance staff and working with various housing inspectors to ensure that all of our properties are up to health and safety codes. One of Pat’s passions is animals. He has rescued a number of cats and dogs that have been left behind by irresponsible owners. If you ever swing by our office, you may meet his dog (and best friend) Scout.
